Boyesen two stage reed jetting

Hello, I'm new here and had a quick question. 2004 KDX 200 all stock including exhaust, except snorkel removed. Planning to install the two stage reeds and wondering if anyone had experience which way to go with the jetting. It runs pretty good now with 152 main and 42 pilot @4000' however, it likes the air screw 3 turns out so I have a 40 ready to go in.

I kinda wanted to see what effects the reeds have without changing anything else but if the jetting definitely goes one way or the other, now would be a convenient time while the carbs off.

Thanks!

I had to go down to a 40 on the pilot.

Installed the reeds and the 40 pilot (down from 42) and to my surprise it had a mid range bog. I did a plug chop and it is running lean so upped the main to 155 (from 152) and raised the needle back to middle groove. Bog is gone and it seems to have more top end (w stock pipe)

What was surprising is the Boyesen instructions suggested the opposite , the two stage reeds lean the bottom and richen the top.
