If everything is lined up properly during re-assembly of the KIPS up to this step -

Turn the the main shaft/gears all the way CCW and then align the claw. To be sure that everything is lined up correctly when the gear is all the way CCW the KIPS should be fully closed, you can see this looking through the exhaust. Rotate the claw through its full range of motion to be sure that the KIPS fully opens and closes. Rest position should be closed and full right or CW should be completely open.

The notch in the claw will NOT be aligned with the indentation found on the rear gear.

*EDIT* FULL RIGHT CW not LEFT should be open.

With the main shaft/gears CCW the claw should only fit one way. There should be a little alignemnet hole on the claw that alows it to fit in only one position to the activation shaft.
