So I have my clutch side of 1985 kdx 200 engine all apart. Some dingus messed up my shifter lever, but thats a different story...So, when I did ride my bike, the clutch wasnt functioning. I was shifting with no clutch. I look at the mechanism that shifts, and the paws dont always grab the nubs on the shift drum. However, when I spin the shaft that the clutch rides on (is if the clutch were engaged) it has no trouble grabbing the nubs. Is this normal?
And, after that, I took out all my shifting pieces, and tested all the gears by turning the hexagon with the nubs on it. All gears work fine, and I dont have to constantly spin the "clutch shaft"
Unable to shift with clutch?
