Jetting with the FMF Gnarly Woods pipe
How hard is it to jet a carburetor since I've got this pipe? This will be my first time doing it..Any tips, tricks?

There is a great jetting guide sticky under jetting and needles. Not hard at all, but it may seem that way initially. Just take your time and re-read the sections of needed.

Good guide except for one big mistake. He advised adjusting the needle after adjusting the idle circuit. The correct sequence is to adjust the main jet after the idle. That takes care of the two extremes. (The correct needle size depends on the main jet size, but the main jet does not depend on the needle.) From there do the needle and possibly the slide cutaway.

I suppose, but the needle bridges the circuits between the pilot and main so it makes sense to me to go to the needle next.

Well that's certainly to the point now isn't it. Nice link!

No, it doesn't make sense. That is because the idle and the main fuel/air mixtures are unaffected by the needle but the needle is affected by both, and also by the slide cutaway.

Re: Jetting with the FMF Gnarly Woods pipe
Is the main jet involved when idling? I though it only came to play from half throttle to wide open?
