Re: A few questions about my 94 kdx200
I've found that the "fixed knee pads just keep you from really hurting yourself. Skin comes off easy with them. Mine actually gave me rashes(?) on long rides. I've since upgraded to hinged knee guards, which are much more comfortable and I loose a lot less skin (non) in crashes.

Could you share which ones you went with? I'm pretty happy about moving on from my budget bilt chafers.6 Riders wrote:I've found that the "fixed knee pads just keep you from really hurting yourself. Re: A few questions about my 94 kdx200
I bought the EVS Epic Knee guards, but here is a link (below) to 4 different brands that RMATV carries, there is also a pair by FLY that I couldn't add to the list. Look for a pair that has dual pivot hinges (two pivot points per side). I do have to warn you about the bolts coming out of the EVS hinges. They need blue loctite before you ride with them ( I know Leatt doesn't use loctite either).

Re: A few questions about my 94 kdx200
I have the Leatt guards and highly recommend, especially at the close out price. I have a lot of hardware in my right knee and feel the protection is a necessity for me. Went down a few weeks ago on a very rocky two-track. The guard did it's job 100%

Absolutely, for $70 you can't go wrong! Have you noticed the screws coming loose in yours?david wrote:I have the Leatt guards and highly recommend, especially at the close out price. Re: A few questions about my 94 kdx200
No, but I haven't looked for it either. Only ridden with them for about 7 hrs total. I will check them when I get home.

Re: A few questions about my 94 kdx200
The Leatt guards don't use screws. They are large metal rivets.
