when you get the wiseco piston kit do you get the top end bearing with it, or do you even need the bearing. what does this bearing do, and if it doesn't come with the kit how much do they cost.

Most don't come with.... they are only about $12 at the most.... and yes, you need one!

I bought one yesterday...local KAW dealer...$10....and some change.

There are those that argue the whys of replacing it. But...why not? It's not something you're going to do later. As long as you have the thing apart, I'd say, 'Why NOT?'

If you tend to reuse base gaskets 'cuz, 'I only USED it once!!', then you might be on the 'reuse the bearing' side of things, too.
