Air screw .. leaking gas

Have a 1990 kdx200 trying to tune up. (Seems like when I get it going good, something else happens  )
It's plated, has the RD mod done to the carb.

The bike burbles a bit and has no top end lately, I just rebuilt thenkips, top end and am trying to track down air leaks. Has the fuel line off, noticed the gaskets are bad on the fuel petcock..was noticing air getting into the fuel line. Thought I fixed that, now the air screw needed some adjusting. As I turn it, the screw has gas coming out, small drips. I cannot see on the parts chart a seal in there. Am I missing something?

Also does the Rd mod simply shift the torque curve down in the rpm range or maybe I could move the needle clip a bit to get more top end? Bike was working great in the mountains at 5000 ft. Not so hot at sea level. .I expect less performance but..

There should be an O-Ring inside the air screw hole, yes. Even if that wasn't there, it shouldn't be leaking fuel...
