Name that part!

Post by ronopolis »

My '99 200 rebuild is almost done! (remember, I'm the guy just learning how to ride). One of my biggest lessons is I didn't do a good enough job keeping track and taking pictures of EVERYTHING as I tore the bike down to the bare frame. For example, I can't figure out where this piece goes. Yes, I have the shop manual, but can't find it this part in the book. I've had very few of these Where Does it Go Pieces, and it is kind of funny to me it is a big part -- should be obvious. It is not the piece that is similar that is under the air box on the left hand side.

With any luck I'll be done today (except for new graphics). Then I'll post pictures.

PICS will come as soon as I finish up the last details, and graphics.

OK, OK, here is how my '99 kdx 220 looks in the garage right now, after the ride around the block. The new top end has 8 minutes on it  Still need to put on the handelbar grips, barkbusters, graphics etc.

Two? The one I put on is just to the rear of the sprocket. Where is the 2nd one?

OK, cool. I did put the one in by the airbox. I just couldn't fathom the chain up there... Thanks.
