Hey guys i just wanted to ask a quick questio about my new to me 1983 kdx250. I wanted to know if it has kips in it?

No. Power valves first appeared on kdxs with the 1986 c series.

No power valve system in the following USA KDX's:
1980 - 1988 KDX80
1980 - 1982 KDX175
1983 - 1985 KDX200
1980 - 1984 KDX250
1979 - 1980 KDX400
1981 KDX420
1982 KDX450
I am not going to check, but I assume the Suzuki built KDX50's did not have them. I don't know.
KIPS was on:
1986 - 2006 KDX200
1997 - 2005 KDX220R
1991 - 1994 KDX250
