Kenda k760 tires

Post by dualscotty »

Just received my new kenda k760 track master tires front and rear. I purchased the same stock size as I previously had 100/100/18 rear and 80/100/21 front. Have not mounted them yet but they appear to run a little narrow. Is this just there characteristic for kenda. I'm sure they will balloon up a bit once aired up. Any thoughts. Experience with these tires. Thanks

100/100 is really thin for dirt bike rears. it will be fine on the rim, and protect it just like any other tire. the big benefit is how easy it will TURN in the woods, i love narrow rear tires !

the front bah, it just has to bite.

I have one on my 07 Husqvarna TE250. Yes,it is not as wide as the Maxxis Desert IT 100x100 it replaced.
I have 2 rides on it after it rained in the So. Cal. high desert under perfect conditions. The tire hooked up really well with minimal wear (due to the perfect dirt).

I need a few more rides on it in the typical dry terrain out here ,but so far I like the tire and hope it lasts. Bought it cause it was an aggressive DOT legal knobby as my TE is 50 state street legal. YOO HOO !

I'm running a TMII rear. Stock size. Hooks up very nicely. My friend doesn't follow me close anymore though, I guess it's a chucker :)
For the price, capability and DOT label it's hard to beat. I can't speak about reliability yet, though.

I rum these on my bikes. I like them well enough to buy again. Currently riding my KDX to work and the tire is holding up, this is after doing mud races on it all winter, so no complaints at all. I do NOT like the TM front tires in wet conditions, they slide to much on roots, for wet areas and rock bed trails (think river bed), I run the Kenda Washougals. I currently have a Washougal, DOT, front tire on my bike. It won't last as long as the TM does, but I'm at 2 years, w/o street time on it. I now consider it worn enough to use it as a street tire.

I ran the kenda on her bike for a while. I thought it had great straight line bite but in greasy mud it was a little squirrelly. It lasted probably 50 hours including 3 races and still tons of tread left if you cut it. But she rode mine with the Pirelli garacross and got spoiled. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the Pirelli is DOT also. By far my favorite rear. Traction everywhere.
