keihin 29mm Carb

Post by mitchell93 »

Hi, I have a kdx220 2002 I believe .. I bought it off a local guy who moved on from it to a 4 stroke, the bike has a 30mm bore and the outlet into the engine is just over 29mm, its a Keihin carb iv only just noticed this. I did a bit of research and found the bike should have a 33mm carb. Will issues unfold if I keep using this carb or will I have to upgrade it ? What's will the difference be ? And what are the pros and cons of each being on my bike? and would the carb be a 30mm carb or 29mm and would you round up to 30 consider its just above 29mm

If the carb is truely smaller than stock , your just going to have a bike with less top end.

Woods riding you'll be fine.

Just make sure your jetted properly and ride.

Unless your looking to spend some money on mods ,,,,, Speed cost money, how fast do you want to go :)
