Anyone running a 13/49?

Post by Indawoods »

Anyone running a 13/49T combo? If so.... how many links are you running and where are you at on your adjusters?

Thanks...

I think a 49 is a bastard sprocket... It's what I want to run but if is too short for a 108 and a 110 is too long, I will have to rethink my decision.

Take one link off. Gives you a cool excuse to buy a chain breaker.

Duh! You're right. I think you will have enough adjustment. Might not get the whole adjustment life out of your chain, but it should work nonetheless.

Rethinking it... I will just go with a low profile tire and a 48.
Saves the headache...

I just need some more gear than what the 130 Mich is giving me with a 48.

I got my 12-T front and 49-T rear sprockets on. My chain adjuster is on the #8. It still has room to go not much but alittle.I think a 108 might work, maybe a streched 108 chain. I did'nt try my 108 chain, I just went ahead and put the new chain on.

I have no idea yet. I won't know until around may or June. I'm still on restrictions for my knee. I plan on posting some opinions after the first ride though. by then someone else might have already tried it but oh well.
