1994 kdx 250 vs 2006 kdx 200 help

Having owned a fully built 200, a warmed over 220, and the KDX250, the KDX250 should eat the 200 or 220 for breakfast. Something is definitely wrong with your dad's 250. I guess it could be the pipe as mine had a PC pipe on it but I can't imagine it would hurt the power that much. I would do a compression test and, if it tests good, start dialing in the jetting.

Just follow the jetting guide. The process is the same if you have an 85, 125, 200 or 250.

To wake up the 250 you need the thin kx head gasket, and really lean the jetting way out.
