Optional gastanks?

I would like to replace my '84 "A" tank with a smaller KX unit. If the change out requires the matching seat,that is OK,adding/moving attachment points fine,as long as the final "MX look" is achieved. So,I'd like to hear from anyone that has done this conversion.
