On fast sections of trail rides I notice my bike won't rev any higher when I go to WOT. The only way to get more speed is to change up. It pulls great up until that point but winding it on more give me nothing. Is that normal?

Power valve is supposed to open around 6000 rpm and give you more high rpm power. They can become stuck with carbon deposits and break or strip the gear teeth. What model are you riding?

200 or 220? Woods pipe or desert pipe?

You could just be running out of gear. It's more pronounced on a 2 stroke. Once u reach a certain rpm, the power drops off.
