Thanks guys. After way too much research, I ordered 3 No Toil's, AND their cleaner/grease/oil kit.

Have you guys watched the "how to clean and oil" videos for twin air and uni? Geez, who has that kind of time?

Hoping these No Toil work out, because they are half the price, and WAY easier to clean and oil.

Did you get the red or green oil?

Don't remember the color, but I ordered the one with alcohol so it dries quicker. Why do you ask?

Sounds like the red then.

Sometimes it can be 4-6 weeks between rides for me. Once I switched to NoToil, I started noticing that I had filter oil gathering at the bottom of my airbox. And the top of my filters were dryer than the bottom. After some forum searching I found similar complaints. There weren't a lot given the number of people using NoToil, but enough that I knew it wasn't just me.

I stopped using it and gave in that it just wasn't the product for me since I don't get a chance to ride frequently at times.

So I was just curious if the green stuff would stay in the filter better over a long period of time.

I sure did like the easy and cheap clean-up. A little oxyclean and you were good to go.

Interesting, and a bit of buyers remorse too. I bought three filters so we had one spare. I also won't ride a ton. I ride my trials bike usually twice a week, and compete as many weekends as possible. But were new to the enduro bikes, and I see it as more of a play toy, so I'm sure it will sit a lot.

Guess time will tell!

I wouldn't worry about it. That was just my experience, many people have zero problems with NoToil.

I figured I was doing something wrong or putting on too much. But after I got the filter saturated, I squeezed out the excess and let it dry overnight before installing it. I'm not sure what I could or should have done differently. I do the same procedure with the FFT and the oil never leaves the filter, even after sitting for several months.

My situation is compounded by sometimes just having an hour or two notice of a ride. The last thing I have time for is oiling and installing a filter. So once I get back from a ride, I clean the bike, do any needed maintenance and then have it ready to go for the next time.

I have been using notoil for a few years and haven't really had any problems. It does seem to dry out over time (about 6 months for me) but that probably has a lot to do with climate and conditions. I have stuck with them for the easy maintenance factor. And it might just be in my head but it seems the mice don't like notoil oil as much as other filter oils.
