Re: 1984 KDX200 price tag???
Prices differ across the country and as the saying goes, 'it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it'. You can get a nice, last generation KDX for $1500-2000, so you have to take that into account too. Just an example, why would someone pay $1500 for an '84 when they can get a 2004 for the same price and get a much better bike. Rare or classic doesn't mean valuable.
'81 KDX 175
'90 KDX 200
'07 Vulcan 2000 Classic LT (totaled 4/25/15)
'82 Honda GL500 (sold)
'96 ZXi 1100 JetSki
'98 STX 1100 JetSki
'90 KDX 200

'82 Honda GL500 (sold)

This isn't a bike with a lot of collector's value.
Scruffy: maybe $0-600. Nicely restored, probably $900-1500.

Well, one major reason I can think of that somebody may want a nicely restored '84 vs an '04 is that it is eligible for vintage/pv/bomber class racing. The H Series bike is not.why would someone pay $1500 for an '84 when they can get a 2004 for the same price and get a much better bike. R

Selling. I purchased a 1984 and got it running has cost me $200 all up including the bike and now wanting to sell just wondering what a reasonable price would be, it runs fine and has had a rebuild.

Why do you non-USA people keep coming on to a mostly USA forum and ask what stuff is worth or costs without mentioning which country you are from?

Scruffy: maybe $0-600. Nicely restored, probably $900-1500. is what sarrant said which i would of thought is fairly similar to what we would pay here in NEW ZEALAND, so why does it matter?
