I have an '01 KDX200 with an FMF Gnarly pipe and an FMF Turbine Core 2 silencer.
I haven't repacked the silencer before and I think it needs it.
Any suggestions on what kind of packing to buy.
I see 2-stroke and 4-stroke packing. Is there certain packing that is better to work with?
Any tips that will make this easier job for a newbie would be much appreciated.

Re: silencer packing suggestions
It's a pretty straight forward process. I just repacked my bike and a friends. One was a 2t and the other a 4t. Both were from FmF and Instructions are printed on the packaging.
4t packing was denser, so there is a difference but I couldn't tell you the impact. Noise maybe?

tape it to slide it into the silencer, but don't PACK it into the silencer. you usually get enough material to do the pipe twice, if you pack loosely. it's a quieter, not a silencer ;-)

You're old fashion! [emoji12]
I guess I'm new school and splurge $10/yr on name brand stuff [emoji57]
FmF instructions state to pack tightly, but there more than one way to skin a cat!

Re: silencer packing suggestions
I usually buy one big roll. But I probably change ours more than necessary. I remove both ends of silencer. Clean then insert baffle then stuff full of insulation then reinstall the end cap.
