chinese footpegs
Has anyone tried the Chinese knockoff footpegs? The price is good but having a footpeg snap off could be painfull.

Yep, need to be ground down a bit to fit, but they're very nice. Much wider and more stable than stock imo. I've got size 13 feet, so I found them better.

X2. Haven't been able to ride them yet, but they seem pretty strong.

Are those the ones on Ebay for about $21 USD?

Yes there are two designs I see, one looks like it has a cast solid lug for the pivot, the other has what appears to be two pieces of steel welded on with a hole drilled through for the pivot. I thought the cast version looked stronger. Thanks for the replies.

I have a pair of the cast ones. Seem strong enough but had trouble fitting return springs. Ended up doing a little machining around where the spring fits into the hole in the peg.
Then found a pair of aluminum pegs from a Yamaha I think for $5. Peg itself is about same size. May need to do some machining to get them to fit. Haven't done that yet.

I had no problem fitting the springs, but you do have to swap springs from the left side to the right.

I ordered a pair, will see how it goes. Thanks again for all the response. Now if I could motivate myself to work on my hybrid.
