how old is the exhaust?
and when is the last time you repacked it?

unless you do that FIRST you will not be able to get a good read on your mixture

having said that, I use KLOTX beanoil, 1:37.8

And you don't want to starting changing around ratios just to reduce spooge.

You should pick a ratio and then jet for it.

The 220 can be sensitive to jetting when altering the air box or carb, I would run 40.1 mix, 42 pilot jet & 152/155 main jet, std 220 needle in the mid position & 220 slide, air screw 1.5 turns out.....leave the air box lid on but remove the snorkel...run a new spark plug, clean air filter & fresh fuel & go from there.
