Exhaust Question

Post by masnecc »

This question is for the guys that own the E series and the H Series.

I have a E series Frame. If I used an H series shock, would the H series Pipe and Silencer fit? Not worried about plastics because I already have that taken care of. But I have my hands on a KX shock that fits the frame, and would work perfect if the exhaust pipe went under the resivor instead of over. I can make mounts... If someone has both bikes, would you mind test fitting? I want to buy a pipe for my bike (fmf, or PC) but before I do, I would like to know if I could use this shock with the exhaust. (1990 kx250, revalved by shock thearapy) and has adjustable rebound and compression, unlike the stock kdx shock. Purely metal to metal fitment is what I need to see/know.

I do not think so. The E series is a downtube frame and the H series is a perimeter frame. They are quite different. The stock KDX shock does in fact have rebound and compression adjusters, it's the forks which do not.
