Going for the GOLD!

Postby Indawoods » 01:51 pm Dec 10 2005

After evaluating the performance of all my mods as compared to the spare bike, I have decided to try to combine "Bang for the Buck" and making the ultimate stock bore KDX 200.

For now... here is my list:

RB head mod $40+shipping
RB'd carb $165+ shipping
Boysen Power Reed $35+ shipping
Wiseco piston $100 give or take
13/50 sprocket combo $100 give or take
100/100 rear tire $60 give or take
FMF Rev pipe w/ TCII $250 five or take

That's about $800 in total (new price) modifications of which I have most of them.

To finish it out
Armor would be an additional $300... sometimes cheaper on eBay.
WER stabilizer another $350 if new... but can get cheaper on eBay.
KX frontend... $ Ranges w/ additional machining and cost.

Anything else that is a "Bang for the Buck" mod that you guys can think of?

Thanks!

$60 for the head mod? Ron must have raised his prices. I recall paying $40. Now that's a bargain.

What pipe does that have on it now? I've still got to send you the K-30 pipe I have. Is that the REV pipe you are looking for? I SWEAR I'm going to mail it. This week if it is the pipe you need.

If not a KX front-end, at least change the fork springs.

Rad braces!! (not guards...braces)

Gotta have a skid plate! Well...around here anyway. Ride without one and you WILL damage your frame.

Some kind of 'real' lever/hand guards.

...an -EG sparky plug! ;)
