Boyesen super bowl + some improvement: useless?

Post by frenche200 »

Hello, for my project of rebuild and improvement of my series E I bought some motor equipment:
Vforce3, FMF pipe, RB head and carb ... I wonder if adding a Boyesen super bowl would be really beneficial (and what?) or a waste of money ?
Thanks
i'm French and I don't speak English very well, so, please, excuse me :)

The super bowl helps reduce fuel slop when landing from jumps or whoops therefore reducing the 'bogging' effect when cracking open the throttle afterward..... Mostly a competition mod for racing .... You can get them for the likes of the earlier kdx 125s which run keihin carbs so probably you could get one to fit a 33 or 35mm kdx carb but I wouldn't feel it really nesessary as the kdx has quite a large float bowl & the motor doesn't suck gas like a mx bike.

I had the same mods and I never noticed a need for the super bowl. I ride lots of whoops and do some MX and it always ran great.
