replacing jet block gasket - any tips/tricks?

I'm getting ready to order a new jet block gasket for my 01 KDX200.

I'm curious whether anyone has any suggestions to make the install easier.

Do I need any kind of cement to hold the gasket in place?

Should I put any thread locker on the screws when I put it back together?

Is guessing I could mess up the new gasket during install, so I want to know of any tips to prevent that.

I think they are 4mm. I took one of the screws to McClendon's, they have stainless allen heads that fit there.

No adhesive to hold it in place. You don't want anything dissolving and gunking things up.

The gasket is flat but part of the jet block is at an angle. Just take your time in getting things lined up and you shouldn't have any problems.

If you haven't bought the gasket yet, I'd suggest buying an extra. Shipping is high compared to the cost of some of these items, so it makes sense (to me) to buy extra so I don't have to pay more in shipping than the part next time I need one. And you have an extra in case you damage it during the install.

Thanks Ted. Good suggestion about ordering an extra. It's always a drag paying more in shipping than the actual gasket costs.
