Kawasaki KDX 125 ´91 NO SPARK " HELP NEEDING"

Post by an7t1 »

Hello all!

I bought Kawasaki for my project. Why it doesnt spark? In ignition coil come about 8-12volts when I kick, but nothing comes out of coil(maybe 0.01volts).
So, i tested it for another coil but not work. Can someone give me coil(NipponDenso) values? And I need stator values too. What should come out for engine connector which is coming in motor(3yellow, one red, one white and one green)? Cdi values?

Do you have any ideas what is wrong? Killing-switch good, I cant undestand what is the problem  I dont have ignition switch so i just connect its wires.

Sorry my bad English, I hope you can read it

Yes I have read it.
Can you tell me stator and cdi values so I can check which of then has broken.

just check the voltage out of the stator coil. if it's good then check the CDI. hold the output wires. should give a minor shock. if it does then suspect the high voltage coil / plug wire / plug cap / spark pug

clean off any rust at the stator coil plate because those metal to metal connections are the ground return path for the ignition system

I check stator voltage out. It is about 40-60volts. Resistance between red and white wire was 120ohm. Is it too low? I tested ignition coil again: 4.6k ohm and 0.2 ohm. It is ok? Cdi gave small minor shock.

then your stator coil and CDI are good. What's bad is something downstream from them, probably the high voltage coil.

Hi,
Still no spark

I removed ground wire which go to frame. Then I got about 10-12volts to spark plug cap, I tried but no spark, no even I tried only with spark plug wire(without sparkplug) Then I connect the ground wire again and nothing comes to spark plug cap. What is the problem? I think that groundwire "steal" the electrics grounding. All wires are good.
