Hill Climb Leaking Gas

So as I am doing a hill climb I almost get to the top but I lay the bike over on its side. Next thing I know is gas is flowing out of the air vent tube on the gas cap. Should that happen? Or is there something wrong with my gas cap?

I believe that is normal, some vent tubes have a one way valve so air can come in to displace the fuel as it is used. usually when you lay it over fuel comes out the vent tubes on the carb too.

Yeah fuel was coming out of both tubes the one on the tank and the tubes from the carb.
