throttle response

Post by KDXhopeful »

Quick question as I am close to pulling the trigger on purchasing a 99 KDX 220. (If he will go for 1700.00 Canadian for it) When you twist the throttle like a slow 52 year old is the power smooth or is it snappy like my son's 05 200? I like smooth as I am old and have always been slow. Bike is pretty much stock.

Thanks a bunch
Pat
Whoa that was close!!! Damn kid is too fast for me to try and keep up to.

I'm 56 but still like a little snap, yes the 220 is a little smoother then the 200. I have had both. With the rev pipe the 220 will have more of a hit, with the torque or stock pipe real smooth. I think you'll like it just fine, there great bikes.

Missed the darn bike. Was the second to contact him and the first dude snatched it up for 2k Canadian. I wonder if Kawasaki knows (cares) how much people love this bike. Hell I don't even own one and love them. I might have to take over the ownership of my son's 200. Hahahahaha. I need a beer. :drinkers:

Have a 220, it is pretty smooth until the rev's pick up and the 2 stroke gets rolling.
