I voted but i'll say this. Pick a ratio and stick with it. Any ratio from 32:1 upwards of 52:1 can be correct, if the rest of your jetting is changed to follow suite.

40:1 simply because it's so dang easy to figure out how much oil to gas: 1 bottle to 5 gallons. There, it's done!!

Jetted correctly it won't, but you certainely don't need that much lube in the woods.

I voted 50 to 1 but thats only when I ride tight woods with my son. Faster speeds I go to 40 to 1. :supz:

I thought it was 20:1 on air cooled and 32:1 on water cooled. I have one of each and ride all puckered up when I run 32:1 in my 83 now I feel better and may lean out the watercooled so I get less spooge.

Hey, that works!! Anything to make things easier . . . I might just change!

40:1 OK with Mobil 1 full synthetic? I'm not well-versed on capability of the various oils out there.

I swear by Motul 800 mixed 3 oz per Gal (3/128). The perfect worry-free mix. Easy to jet for with minimum drool, plus 6 oz in a 2 gal container means a fresh mixture every ride.
