Suggestions for brand and type of rear brake pads?

I just buy cheap ones, not sintered as they tend to lock up the rear to easy. I find that I burn through them so fast, even the name brand pads, that ordering them off of E-Bay is the best way to go. I also buy a couple sets at a time.

Looking for pads right now. Your link doesn't work anymore so I was curious which ones they were. Are they the ones D2Moto sells? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1989-2006-Kawas ... 2a50f513aa I have always used sintered pads. I was thinking about going carbon this time in the hopes of getting less squealing and a more progressive feel. Would you say that's what you noticed changing to carbon pads? I'm a brake dragger when setting up for and in turns. How is the longevity, miles or rides wise?

They feel the same to me but dont last as long as sintered

I'm pretty sure we burn through them when racing....I can't remember how long ago I put them on, but both bikes have worn the fronts completely out. My newest set is a Tusk set from RMATV, I have yet to put them on, but seem just as quality.

Thanks. Just a heads up, I've had the Tusk fail and destroy a rotor. I won't use them.

Oh, thanks for the heads up.....The E-bay units don't fail, but only last about 6 months (I think).....But they work.

Thanks again. I think 6 months sounds very reasonable to me especially at those prices. I ordered two sets to try out. If they work out I'll probably go ahead and order a few more sets.

On the Tusk, maybe I just got a bad set but, with the cost of rotors, it really turned me off of them. The actual pad material came off the plate while riding and just that quick ruined the rotor. Just keep a close eye on them!

Just an update. I bought the pads 6 Riders recommended and they have been awesome. I have over 150 miles of singletrack on them and they seem to show no wear. The biggest plus is that the rear brake is much more progressive now! No more on-off! Thanks for the recommendation 6 Riders!
