I noticed that these bikes have two piece front rotors. When I hit the brake I can feel the outer part move and make noise. With my hand I can also move it side to side. Does this mean it is worn and needs to be replaced?
Also, does a wave rotor really make a difference?

It is called a floating rotor, I believe. You can read about those. It is normal. Lots of bikes have them, and yes, it does move a touch.

Mine seems to move quite a bit so I want to order a new one. Are the 1999 kdx front rotor interchange w any other bike?

Yup, KLXs use the same rotor. Some KXs might as well.bored808 wrote:Mine seems to move quite a bit so I want to order a new one. Are the 1999 kdx front rotor interchange w any other bike?
