Hi. Got some dents on the header area - pipe is a Pro Circuit Platinum 2. Going to hurt performance or not? Cheers.

seen worse but if you would like to get them out it is not hard. Check youtube on pipe dent removal with air pressure.

Probably not enough to notice. The closer to the inlet, the more it affects performance. Being where those are, I doubt they will hurt anything.

Thanks for the replies...
Yeh, read that article and that's why I posted as wasn't sure if these dents would be classed as being in the header section (bad) or in the 1st part of the cone (not such a worry).

Looks ugly, but it probably won't affect the performance in any way.

I dented mine as well a few days ago (already had a small dent) and it had me wondering: are pipe guards universal?

There are universal pipe guards. They have to be bent to fit.

After bashing 3 FMF pipes real bad, I bought one of the above mentioned moose guards. Works GREAT! Now instead of replacing pipes, I'm replacing exhaust mounts. Still, it makes this hobby cheaper, and I'll take it where I can get it.
