pipe identification

Post by KDXhopeful »

A fellow has 03 220 for sale hat has the gnarly pipe on it. He has only owned the bike for a couple of weeks and has to sell it. He is about 5 hours away and I am trying to get as much information as possible. How do you tell the difference between the rev and the torque pipes as he doesn't know which one it is a sit came with the bike.

Thanks
Pat

There should be a model number stamped into the hanger tab. Compare that with FMF's site. 56 is desert/rev; 57 is woods/torque. http://www.fmfracing.com/Products/BikeA ... KI_KDX220R
2003 KDX 220. RB Carb & Head Mods. Desert pipe. She's a runner!
2006 KLX 250 w/351 big bore. A well-sorted dual sporter.
2006 KLR 650. Mostly stock.
2014 Suzuki DL1000.

I have both pipes and the woods is stamped K35 and my desert is stamped K30. The k30 says Fat Boy and the K35 says Fatty. My sons says Gnarly?
