Anybody know of any good kits out there to make a 1994 KDX250 street legal? It currently has no lights, horn or mirrors.

I've found some Baja designs kit for for kdx, over $500..... It looks sharp though. Do you know if I would have to replace my stator. It would be nice not to have to load the bike into the truck to go riding.

Baja's kit does not need a stator rewind ,but they say the kit will work better if a larger stator is used. My Stator is stock and the kit works perfect. Had not had any issues. I did upgrade to LED turn signals so maybe that helps.

It is $500+upgrades but it is nice. Plug it all in to your factory harness, plug in controls , rear signals ,tail , brake and your done. Keyed ignition ,Battery and a plug for onboard speedo/computer is all pre done for you.

Oh and just make sure you check your state laws. It is close to impossible to reg. a dirtbike in my state.

It is sweet to not need a truck.

I just ordered a Baja designs 12-1301 grn on eBay. $415. Let's see how this goes. Hopefully I don't have to rewind my stator.
