Stripped threads on kickstarter shaft
Found on the male threads on outside of the kickstart shaft were stripped today when removing the nut...has anyone every had this happen, and would it be safe to just chop the threads off entirely and drill/tap new threads into the shaft and use a bolt and lock washer??

Re: Stripped threads on kickstarter shaft
Have seen the shafts on Ebay fairly cheap, they are the same for the E and H and 220. Barring that you could run a die over the end of the shaft and recut it. IIRC its a 12mm nut that goes on and you could probably cut it down to use an 11mm nut with a washer.

I did take a look on ebay but nothing domestic. After shipping and import, not to mention the current exchange I'd rather see if I can fix it first. My bro is good at this stuff he might actually suggest run it down to 11mm.
