I change my tires on a old 5 gallons plastic can.
Helps a lot.
Good luck.

I'm assuming this is your first tire change...
Don't forget the cold beer. You will need it to relax. You may need a second beer after realizing that you pinched the tube when reinstalling new or repaired tube. (**** happens)
Have fun.
PS: Here is tip from the Enduro world: Trash the stock rubber band that and replace it with several layers of duct tape. The flimsly rubber band sometime gets out of place and exposes the tube to the nipples.
