dumb oil question

Post by scheckaet »

Is the 10W40 for car very different for bike?
Will it screw up the engine if I use it?

Look for Friction Modifiers.. that's what will screw up your clutch plates.

I never use car motor oil for that reason...

Most will use Mobil 15-50 full synthetic (Gold Cap) or Mobil 1 synthetic ATF.

Or your various Bel-Ray GearSavers etc....

The high milage 10-30 or 10-40 oils generally are not energy conserving and at least in my KDX work great.
