Restoration finally done

Almost 5 months has passed since I turned my bike into nothing but a bunch of bolts and washers. Finally I am just about done. It only took a few months of being unemployed, every waking minute in the garage, and damn near every penny to my name. The first test and tune session is today at 3 pm. This was my first restoration of any kind and I think i turned out pretty good. The best part about it is I have a brand new 1996 KDX. You guys better like it because it was a hell of a lot of work.

Nicely done. I wasn't sure how I'd take to the green swingarm, but it works better than I thought it would. Any plans for fork protection up front?

I know I need something but I don't know what to get. I really have no clue even where to look.

I don't like it :snooty:

 No just kidding, well done bike! :bravo: Did the seat cover and graphics come on the bike? If not, where did you find them? I do think that it needs a headlight. A KDX needs a head light. As far as fork covers, just get the Tusk neoprene seal cover things, I'd go with the longest that you can get, this will save some $$.

Ya the graphics were on the bike when I got it, I saved and polished them up, I have a led light bar on the way and there is a led tail installed. I just kept it as hidden as I could to make it more racy feeling. I just got done testing it out for the first time and it is awesome. Its like riding a brand new bike but maybe a little better feeling. :boogie:

Hey Thanks Everybody I have never been so proud of something in my life. I have to thank kdxrider.net and everybody in this community. I would have not been able to do this without everyone helping me out all the time. For real every body here is great. I will post more pictures tonight. Again thanks everybody.

I'd have that back fender covered with stickers, that's just my opinion. I love the stickers you get from buying stuff, makes ya way faster too
