I'm totally new to riding. Just bought a 2004 kdx and am wondering which service manual is the best. I have seen several on eBay but don't know if one is better than another. Thank you for all your info on this.

I would say that the cyclepedia online version that is linked from our homepage is probably the best. The only other I know of would be the factory kawasaki service manual, which is also fine.

There is no Haynes, Clymer or Chilton manual for the 1995+ KDX200 / KDX220R. As far as print, the OEM is it. There are 10 1995+ KDX manual versions. If you buy an OEM version, try to get a later one that covers any slight changes to the service of your 2004. There are extremely few differences, but the main one is an error in the original version that has the KIPS alignment shown incorrectly. One other change is rear wheel axle nut torque changed from 72 to 80 foot-pounds.

The site asks that any electronic or printed copies (copyright infringement) not be discussed here. For the site's sake, keep it legal. :bravo:
