Gas cap
Does anyone know if the pre-95 gas caps are the same as the 95+? All I seem able to find online is newer gas caps. I have a crappy steel one that leaks with every bump, spilling premixed fuel all along the tank. Gets dirty really fast. I've looked locally for gas caps but couldn't find anything. The KDX threaded part seems rather tall compared to what I can find. The size is also different from other brands I've tried out (Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki). I would have thought it was standardized... Anyone know a sure fire amazon/ebay product which will work? Will IMS gas tank caps work?

The stock caps are the same between E & H models. The IMS cap will not work. Just buy a new one from a parts house (about $20), just remember to get a new seal at the same time.

Re: Gas cap
Do not over tighten the stock cap, they can split at the top. That happened to me once and have heard of a couple of others.

Gas cap
Hi, I just got a new cap after researching for a while. I was going to get a cap from kawasaki parts house for $20 but then they nail you for another $7 for shipping. So I went to my friends at the local dealer parts department and they ordered me a stock cap and gasket for $21. Done deal!
