Non-working kips the cause of spooge?

Post by superman27e »

I was watching a video on YouTube about the SIX lip s and noticed the end piece on the actuator arm is broken on mine. This is causing my lip s to not turn at all. So, I've been riding without my power valve system working properly.

Shot in the dark, but could this cause all of my spooge problems?

Also, what kind of differences should I expect in performance once the kips start to operate as it should?

if anything it is the otherway around, your running to rich (spooge is a jetting problem) and that will dry up and gunk up the kips getting them stuck and then the power needed to open them is greater then the power needed to wreck them and that is all she wrote

so, number one, rejet
actually, number one is drain the pipe and silencer (repack it if it is repackable) otherwise you'll be seeing spooge that had collected in the pipe come out after you reject and think its still doing it while in fact it is just evacuating old spooge

then rejet , this will prevent excess to build up (a 2 stroker will always produce a little bit)

now, on to the kips, if I understand this right the kips actuator is broken (10 to 1 the previous owner didn't know about the lefthand thread)
IF that is the only problem you kips is stuck in the lower RPM mode which means your bike will have bottom end but misses out on the top end hit
so once you fix it expect it to rev out much better and quicker

yup.. non functioning kips will not be related to how much spooge is produced. Google 'spooge 101' if you want some extra reading.
You are going to notice a big difference with the kips working.. which will allow the bike to fully utilize the expansion chamber

Non-working kips the cause of spooge?

Thanks, guys! I checked on bike bandit, but couldn't find the broken piece. It's the piece that screws onto the arm with 2 allen head bolts. Know where I can find it?
