Fork spring clip question - please help!

Post by Calibrit »

Brand new KDX rider! Very excited.

I just got this baby and actually have the reverse problem of what most have, the fork springs are too stiff.

Got some softer ones to stick in, the forks are draining as I type.

I have a question though.

Underneath the fork spring in the fork body there was a washer and a washer with 3 prongs which I understand is a spring clip.

However out of one of the forks came only a washer and no spring clip......

I guess the previous owner when he made the spring swap missed it.

Is this s big deal? Do they really do anything?

Thinking I will just go without one in either fork right now.

You can do without it. I would add another washer just to make it the same height.
Thank you for participating on kdxrider.net. :bravo:

Thanks! I am going to cut my own spacer so I guess I can just add a bit to that.
