Curious about my powervalve

Post by JFortner5 »

I removed my FMF woods pipe today to trade with another member for his desert pipe.

I've never looked into the exhaust port before and I'm just curious if this looks ok as far as the cleanliness of the valves? The top end is going to be coming off hopefully next week anyway but this thing has never been apart.

Looks normal. Sub valves look clean too. Let us know how that piston looks. Found a hole in mine.

Thanks I can't wait to tear into it. It makes me nervous every time I start it. Once I get that taken care of I can quit worrying and go ride.

Hi s10gto. Could you please show me a picture of the other side of that hole. It's a new one to me.

Sure. Its the left lower intake side. Can't really see it without a flashlight. Look close there is a fine white dot.

I will never be able to look at a piston again with out having a little look to see how thin the skirt is.

Don't think it would have been a problem just a casting anomaly

Sorry for the topic interruption.
