my son purchased a 1996 kdx 200 this last summer. the back fender needs replaced and the front # plate. he wants to change all to a no tail and front light, more like mx.
Are the 96 250 kx plastics all interchangable? do i need to worry about the charging load if we remove all lights?

Well I did all that on my 90 and I use a rear kx125 and a front kx450f fender and number plate. That being said its all do able with a little thought

There is no charging system so with out the lights it's just the plug getting vid and cool using power so it's just like having and upgraded spark

Maier makes a non-light rear fender for the 1995 - 2006 KDX's

KX plastic from 1996 won't work besides the front fender and you can make the numberplate work
