I think but i'm not 100% that you could swap the steel tank out for a plastic tank. It might take the matching KDX seat to make it work though. Good news about that SR model is that everything you would need to work it over make it into a sweet bike is available from ebay and other sources. Just looking at the general condition of that bike if the bearings were good and the top end was in good working order (good compression, rings are not worn, kips works correctly it should be worth $800-$900 here in the US which would work out to about $1300 in AUD correct? If you can get a ride on it i'd take her for a spin and see what you think.
