Pics of my peg mod

Post by zkdx »

Well, I've been meaning to get around to doing a peg mod to the pencils that are currently on the side of the 91

At first I was going to cut up a pair of my old ktm pegs, which I started to do then I realized, I wasn't too busy at work, I would just fab mine own from scratch.

1) pic of current pegs and ktm pegs--aborted that idea
2 and 3) drew me up something then punched them out on Trumpf CNC
4) used 1 1/2" piece of stock to bend flat pieces around.
5) spaced them evenly on my stockers then welded
6) painted with only paint i had here--bright aluminum!!!

Can't wait to try them out, they look pretty good, I think.

Hey, all right! Those pegs look real good! You know that if you ever slip off, you will have no one to blame but yourself now.

Made them here at our business.

Mine aren't for sale but I do have the blanks I might sell ya., you'll have to bend them and weld them. or send me your pegs and I'll bend and weld them.

I've always thought it cool to be able to make 'stuff' out of metal (uh..that's not me. I've never welded a thing in my life!).

Sequences like: 1. Thought about it, 2. CNC'd it, 3. Welded it up, 4. Done! are...well...cool!

Good deal!!!

Pretty cool. What are you looking at getting out of a set of the blanks?

Looks like you could trap a grizzly bear with those things!!! If lost in the woods, you could assemble them with the springs to capture game and survive!!
Nice job!!
Jerry

I'd rather be a smartass like carvr, than a dumbass like.... well, you fill in the blank!

Grizzly bear trap is exactly what my buddy at work said about them. I can ship you the blanks for about $10 assuming you are in the states. I'll shape and ship them for $15. Weld them on for $30.
