I have a 2000 kdx 220 and it just seems to have I balls in 1st and 2nd. It just winds out do fast.

I always read about the kdx putting you in your ass but I am a pretty novice rider and it just doesn't seem to have it.

In 3rd it will get some too end speed but where is my bottom?

The bike had a 49 renthal rear spriket when I bought it and I am 190lb without gear.

Could this be a symptom of bad reeds or low compression??

I am also getting a puddle of premix (not filter oil) in the air boot

You should check your reeds and compression. I would also make sure your KIPS is working and aligned correctly.

I agree. If you got good compression pull the reeds out. Fuel oil in box is a good sign of the reeds curled open or broke. A 47T rear is stock so your should have nice bottom end with a 49T.

If all is ok like Tedh98 said check the KIPS timing. If someone did a top end some of the manuals are wrong and your KIPS maybe open all the time.

You don't mention any mods to the bike. Pipe? Also, check you jetting. Not only did a pipe wake my 220 up, the jetting afterwards really got it going.
