Hi Gang,
Took off my pipe for some routine maintenance and when I put it back on, the outer pipe O ring is clearly visible.
If I really bury the O rings on the end of the pipe all the way into the exhaust port I can no longer see them. The problem is that after I do that, it is impossible to line up the other stabilizer bolts.
Everything is now hooked up, but the outer O ring is almost totally exposed on one side, and just touching the engine on the other.
(Hope this makes sense.)
Thoughts?
Thank you.

Pipe Installation Question
Is the pipe bent? I have an E series with an FMF and the first o-ring shows on mine; I don't get any spooge there, so I assume it is OK. Problem with mine is it is bent a little and hits the frame loop on the left side.

Re: Pipe Installation Question
something is not lining up
did you notice how the O rings sat before you pulled the pipe off?
if the pipe is installed properly the O rings should be hiddin in the cylinder
are all the mounting tabs still in one piece ?
they often rip right off the rubber on one side of the other and if that is the case then obviously they are no good anyway
how are the springs looking ?
did you remove the silencer at all ?
if it were me, i would remove the silencer and get the pipe installed
with both O rings properly seated put on the springs
then the tabs (if they are still good) and finally the silencer
having said all that, Dekon may have a point, the pipe may be in need of repair

Re: Pipe Installation Question
Thanks Dekon.
My pipe is not bent.
I kind of figured that it must be somewhat normal for the outer ring to be showing.
Ill keep an eye out for spooge and just see how it goes.
