I think one of the easier but more expensive mod is the pipe. I think the pipe is one of the critical elements besides carb work. I started with a new FMF pipe, spark arrester and reeds with a new reed cage the Delta III. I went from there to jetting. Jetting first is ok but when you start throwing stuff on, it may change things to where you have to jet different.

All the things that I felt make a difference are:

Airbox lid
Pipe
Jetting
Reeds
And finally the carb mod which is icing on the cake. Especially the needle profile with the RB mod. (CEK)

Depending on where and how you ride, the sprocket combo can also make a good difference.

I switched between the stock silencer and the TCII when at LBL but could not tell any difference what so ever. Noise level was even the same. Which leads me to believe the pipe is what makes all the racket and power.

OK
lid full of holes, raised needle but couldn't do the throttle-chop test (too much wind and dust).
So far, I believe I gained a bit of power (or is it just in my head?) in the lower and mid range.
It still needs some work but I am pretty please about the bike's performance (and my "tuning" performance)

I checked the plug after this week end and it looked like that

think I need a smaller jet?
