At 6'1" I'm thinking of adding tall bars and/or bar risers, likely starting with a set of those stackable riser blocks for a 1 3/4 to 2" rise to begin with. I'd really like 2" Rox adjustable risers and fat bars down the road. The bike is an '04 KDX 220.
My questions to the knowledgeable masses:
1. How high can the bars go before needing longer cables?
2. Where do you get your longer cables and what kind of setup required them? I'm expecting Motion Pro may be one source, but are there other alternatives (e.g., on my KLX, I can use a stock KLR650 clutch cable which is a couple inches longer than stock KLX and much less expensive than motion pro).
Thanks!

I have `enduro engineering` 2" bar risers on my 220 , they are also slightly forward too by about 1" ...my bars are quite wide & are also slightly taller ...renthal desert bars ...ive had no problem with running the OE cables etc.

Yes these are the risers I have on my 220 but they are for a "fat bar" so I have made up some reducers to take my renthals..I am 6'3, & with the renthal desert bars fitted it's great standing up or sitting down.. There are cheaper risers available but just look at the quality of the CNC!

Re: Are longer cables needed for tall bars or risers?
So these risers bring the bars forward a bit as well? I have cheapo 30mm 20$ tusk risers but they're ok. Cables were fine. I was a bit worried once I added an rc high bar but if I recall I didn't need a new cable. I think the front brake has plenty of room but look carefully at your clutch cable. Make sure it have enough room to go as it's a bit tricky around the front end (if I recall).
