I was wondering if anyone has cut stock headpipe and removed the guts? . I saw a how 2 on it and was just wondering if it's as good as people say

Where is the how 2 on it? Curious as to why it's better than a PC or FMF pipe.

just my two cents, i wouldnt even try
they put a lot of thought into a 2 stroke exhaust pipe and there is more to it then just getting the gasses out of the cylinder and who knows what you will effect by cutting the inner baffles out

I have a modded E series pipe. I ran it for a long time. It makes a noticeable difference. It takes a lot of work. I mean, a lot of work. If you have the funds, go ahead and buy an aftermarket pipe. If you have the tools and the time, go ahead and mod yours. I run a DG pipe now. Performance is similar to the modded stock pipe.

I modded my stock E series pipe as well. It is not much louder and does make more power. It is quite a bit of work removing the internals.

Re: Has anyone done stock headpipe mod?
I cut my pipe and tried to pry off that internal perforated part but gave up, it was just too hard.
I then got a Pro Circuit pipe and never regretted it. (except for when it was new and without any carbon buildup the pipe walls let the shock wave go thru them and so it sounded likes pots and pans were being clanged together)
